Due to the payload capability and available deck area on our hover barges,
the possibilities are endless. The hover barge provides an alternative and
sometimes only option to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. The hover
barges below show just some of the options available.

River Crossing
Avoid building roads or bridges when you can hover over natural barriers such as
rivers.
The hover barge available in modular form can be assembled on site and then
dismantled and used on other projects.
Deep Sea
Fully amphibious, the hover barge can be launched directly from land or shallow
water with no dock or port facilities required. Lloyds certified, the sea
going hover barge is an excellent alternative.
Shallow water / mud flats
The hover barge skirt seals uneven terrain providing the ability to hover over
gullies and ditches. Exerting only 1psi whilst on hover, the hover
barge glides across ground even a man would find difficult to walk.
Ice Breaking
The hover barge is a natural ice breaker, as trials with the US coast guard
demonstrated. Pushed in front of a flat bottom river tender, 15"
plate ice was broken. During the summer months the hover barge can still
be used as a general load carrier.
